Walker Uses Donor’s Company for Air Travel

August 11, 2015

A federal committee formed by GOP presidential candidate Scott Walker spent a third of a million dollars between April and June of 2015 on air travel with a suburban Milwaukee company whose owners contributed more than $77,000 in recent years to Walker’s campaigns for governor.

A report filed by Our American Revival, which is a 527 group Walker formed earlier this year to raise and spend unlimited amounts to support his 2016 presidential run, showed the committee spent $333,077 on air travel with a company called Sitatunga Springs LLC in River Hills.

Online records show Sitatunga’s registered agent is Jeff Dickinson, and that Sitatunga is located at the same address listed for two other companies – Marking Services Inc. and Dean Road LLC – owned by Jeff and Kathy Dickinson.

The couple contributed $77,307 between October 2010 and December 2014 to Walker’s three campaigns for governor in 2010, 2012 and 2014. Between June 2012 and December 2014, the governor’s campaign spent about $578,000 on air travel with Sitatunga, according to Walker’s campaign finance reports.

All told, Our American Revival and a federal political action committee called Unintimidated PAC, which is a super PAC that was formed by former Walker aides to support his presidential bid, tallied about $442,000 in air travel expenses.
