As the Democracy Campaign combed through reports covering campaign activity in 2007, we found two wealthy contributors who went over the $10,000 annual limit on donations to state political candidates and committees. Both were repeat offenders. To see who, go here.

The latest Wisconsin Supreme Court election got noticed far outside the boundaries of our state. There are two things Minneapolis Star Tribune columnist Nick Coleman does not want coming into his state from Wisconsin. One is sick fish. The other is putrid Supreme Court races. U.S. News & World Report wrote about it . . . in most unflattering terms. The Economist took an equally dim view of the contest, calling it "Habeas circus." And the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg Public Policy Center was every bit as harsh in its assessment of the race that was posted on FactCheck.org.
