This is a Virginia-based group that supports Republican candidates for statewide office and the legislature in Wisconsin and around the country. Between 2010 and 2016, the group spent an estimated $2.7 million on independent expenditures and phony issue ads in Wisconsin elections.

In mid-October, the group sponsored a 60-second radio ad and mailings - here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here - that accused Democratic Senate Minority Leader Jennifer Shilling, of La Crosse, of not representing the best interests her constituents in the 32nd District on health care, tax, and college affordability issues. Shilling's Republican opponent in the November election was Dan Kapanke, the incumbent she had unseated in a 2011 recall to first win her Senate seat.

The Democracy Campaign estimates the group spent $215,000 in its unsuccessful attempt to unseat Shilling.

Earlier in the year, one of the group's independent expenditure committees doled out about $114,000 to support the election of conservative Justice Rebecca Bradley to the Wisconsin State Supreme Court.
